Woohoo Diane! You're sooo close. I bet you looked fantastic in that new dress - it's adorable!

My weekend was pretty good. I need to learn to plan time to eat a little better - it used to be that I could have lunch at work (a big lunch!) and then if I was out after work, I'd be fine not eating til I got home at 9 or 10. Friday I went right from work to my husband's art exhibition, and we didn't get home until 8:30 - and I hadn't eaten anything since I had some yogourt at lunch. I thought I was going to pass out!!
The good news is I have now moved along to solids .. and I'm noticing it's a lot easier. Still not hitting my calorie goals for the day, but working on it!

LW 348 CW 340 -8lbs
Last week I was +6lbs, so it's net -2 .. but I'll take it!

Hope everyone is well,
Liane

Thanks Liane, I am so excited to reach this mark!  And Bravo for your 2 lbs, it is starting for good!

Since surgery, I always have a string cheese in my purse, or a protein bar, just in case, because we need to eat often  as we eat so little at a time, especially in the beginning. Martine told us to eat something every three hour. Great for you to begin solids, it will be a lot easier!  Have a good week!

Hi everybody!

Diane: Nice loss again, congrats!

Liane: Seems like you got rid of the extra fluid, and weight loss now shows on scale...Enjoy the ride!

I had a good week; was energetic enough to get  work done. Maybe I got a bit overboard with the idea of getting enough carbs ( this morning, my scale was not as indulgent as usual...), Got to fine tune my carb intake... (and forget about Tim's large iced cappucinos )

Yesterday, I went to see Shrek 4 with the kids and resisted the evil smell of artery-clogging popcorn, and shared a plate of nachos with my wife

Wow, I'm not sure which had me drooling more ... a Timmy's iced cap, or the popcorn you mentioned (but didn't have!).

How was Shrek 4? I was disappointed with the last one, wondering if this one is any better.... I may have to kidnap me pseudo-nieces and take them to see it (while NOT dipping my hand into their popcorn....)!

Hi Liane!

I didn't see the 3rd one, but I enjoyed Shrek 4 (and so did my kids, 5 and 8yo), and it does have the proverbial happy ending. We saw a 3D version, wich is nice but doesn't add much to the story line. The only thing I personnally missed was the inclusion of popular hits in the soundtrack (I guess someone had to cut in royalties...).

Hi gang! This weekend was beautiful and warm for a change. Friday night I participated in my third Relay for Life (Relais pour la Vie) and as usual it was envigorating, meditative and sad all at the same time. I walked for nine hours and took three one hour breaks. I was pretty tired and had knee issues in the wee hours of the morning but all in all I am very proud of myself. I packed myself some lunch to keep my protein up and ate some bananas for potassium and carbs. They had on hand some carrot and ginger pottage and it was delicious. Yesterday the garden and flower beds called and I spent most of the day outside. All in all a very good weekend
Diane how exciting for you. It is a wonderful feeling reaching the 100lbs mark. You go girl!
Liane you are on your way.....let the fun begin!
Joel, a loss is a loss and large iced cappucinos? Really? I am jealous you can get all that liquid down . Ah butter popcorn, that would be good just about now. I miss popcorn. Next week should be a better week :D.
I think all my walking made a difference this week.

Hi Brenda!

Be very proud of your participation to Relay for life (both for the physical effort and support for cancer aspect). And the 4lbs loss is very well deserved!

I do confess that ice-cold beverages go down quite well...I'll check If I can get a low(er )-cal substitute for Tim's at someother coffee shop. And (more shame on me), as I was reading your post, I pictured myself having  an icy one and realized that I committed another infraction...I'm not supposed to drink from a straw anymore!!!!

Thanks Liane....I am paying the price of overdoing it though. I have a bumed knee so I am taking it easy.  It was so much easier this year without my extra pounds.
