Thanks Derek - I'll read around and see what other people have to say, but tend to trust the nutritionist. She ran through the calculations of my current weight/height/age/activity level, and if I want to lose the suggested 1-2lbs per week, she came up with those numbers. The protein count is 66g - 15x3 + 7x3.
I guess I'll also see how that works out on the scale every Monday :)

I haven't seen the nut yet and I am 4 1/2 months! My appointment is july the 29 th... i think the follow up is really bad... I will see Anne Mitchell, and I heard that she is not very good... Liane, the one you had seems to know better... Anyways, since I have no nut, I read in VSG forum, and in many other references about vsg, and I follow that:

-I try to have 60-80g proteins
-at the beginning, less than 50g carbs, now I don't count, but mostly veggies and fruits carbs, I cannot eat cereals, bread or pasta...( or just a little bit...
-about 1000 cals ( cannot eat more anyways, somedays I can't go over 800!)

I don't count the fat but my food calculator do and it is always less than 50g.
At the beginning, I was using my food calculator, but now I know that if I take proteins every meal and a shake in the morning, I'll have at least 60g of proteins... I try to focus mostly on proteins. So I don't count calories, carbs, etc... anymore, I just try to eat healthy ! That's what works for me...

And Liane, 1600 cal! I doubt anyone with the VSG will be able to eat that (at least in the first 6 months !!!) But it is very different for the lapband...
