vsg
I strongly recommend visiting the VSG board for information, there are tons of very knowledgeable people there :) As for hunger... I rarely get hungry, I say sometimes I'm hungry but it's more my brain saying - you should probably eat now vs. a physical hunger. If I'm busy I can go hours without eating, usually what triggers me going "oh crap, gotta eat NOW" is a headache. But, some people NEVER lose their hunger, and that's something you should know too. Ghrelin is produced in a few places in our body so like a PP said, even if you lose your hunger now, it may come back to a certain degree, but most say never like before.
Hope that helps!

I DID Make It - 135.4 8-1-10! Now working on post baby weight loss. (All WL post-op - preop got up to 220 from quitting smoking & last supper syndrome.) 5'2"
I'm still overweight, I got within 1.6 lbs of goal (normal BMI) and then stopped exercising and tracking my food. I put on about 10ish pounds at the highest. Once I started tracking again (about 5 wks ago) and walking, I started to lose again, I've lost most of the weight I put on, depends on the day but I'm around 6-8 lbs lost of the 10. Working on going even lower (damn I want to be normal!!) and I think I should be able to this summer.
As to less restriction, yes, but that's normal - all my swelling is gone of course. And I drink soda all the time too, which I know many think expands your tummy, I don't agree, as I started drinking it early out, and my restriction has decreased at a normal pace - about 6 months and about 9-12 months.
I still can't eat very much, but I can (and have always been able to) eat more than many people here. I haven't measured in a while, but dense proteins would be mostly no more than 4 oz. I can eat a 4oz burger with bun but only a bite or 2 of a side (like a salad, or fries) and it takes a while. Right now I'm on a mac and cheese kick (with low carb pasta, lots of eggs and cheese for protein) and I can eat about 7 oz of that and be on the verge of throwing up. lol Last night I had 1 Italian Sausage and maybe 1/2 cup of salad (lettuce, avocado, tomatoes, tiny amount of tortilla chips - southwestern salad) and I was STUFFED. I really wanted more salad, but I couldn't.
Feel free to PM me (anyone) if you have more questions :)
