Hi everybody!

I hope everyone had a nice weekend!

These last days were sunny, warm and smokey (because of forest fires in the Latuque area). We have begun raindance...grass and vegetable garden are getting yellow and "crispy"...quite unusual for the end of May!

Healthwise, I'm doing fine. Energy level is still on the low side, but I'm trying to eat as well as I can and rest as much as I can. Maternity leaves and work-related injuries make my workplace a bit more stressful these days. But , hey, I'll get trough that!

LW: 228.2
CW: 225.4 ---> -2.8lbs

Have a nice week!

Hi Joe!

Isn't the smell of the smoke bizarre? I woke up in the middle of the night convinced my house was on fire. Here's hoping they get lots of rain to help put out the fires, or at least stop them from spreading.

Glad to hear you're doing well, and hope the workplace stress calms down soon! Good job on the 2.8lbs!

Had surgery on Tuesday .. back at work today. Sad to say that the scale hasn't moved since my weigh-in right before I walked into the OR
Oh well, I'm sure it will come!

Hello everyone!  Hope you had a nice weekend! It's weird praying for rain, but it will surely help forest fires and our lawn !!
It was my husband birthday, and for the first time since surgery I made him a cake...I love making funny cakes. He loves pizza, so I made him a cake that looked like a pizza!! I realize that I used to lick the bowls, and it was difficult not doing it... Not because I wanted to, but it was just an habit...I realized that before, I often ate by habit, not because I was hungry, not even taking time to taste the food. I also realized that I hate wasting like the little bit of frosting left in the bowl, I used to eat it instead of throwing it away...Hey, I am not a garbage can anymore so I don't need to always eat what's left, my health is worth more than that little leftover...

If you don't want to be tempted, dont look down, because I will add a picture of my cake LOL

So fo the weight now:

LW 234   CW 230  -4 lbs!  May has been a really good month for me !

Joel, congrats for your weight loss, you are still losing consistently, that's great!

Liane, don't worry about it, I had gained 5 pounds the first week after surgery, lost 5 the second week and not lost for 10 days after... The first month, our body have to adjust... and many of u**** a plateau at about 3 weeks... so don't worry, you will lose...

Have a nice week!....

And heeeres the picture... FOOD PORN WARNING !!!!

Wow, what a gorgeous cake!!! Food porn indeed :)
That's amazing, it's hard to believe it's a cake and not a pizza.

4lbs - wooohoo! Congrats. Sounds like you did a good job of behaving yourself even though it was your husband's birthday.

Thanks for the encouragement, I'm sure things will settle down, it was just a bummer seeing no movement at all on the scale this week!

Have a fantastic week everyone.

Wow Diane! That's one amazing looking cake!
And you're loosing weight like a pro, keep on rockin'!
And I love the "not beeing a garbage can" idea...Realizing this just kicks up self-esteem a couple of notches higher instantly...I don't have to be Cookie Monster or Oscar  the Grouch...From now on, I'll be Big Bird!!!

Yes we need rain, same here I found it very weird waking to that smell this morning.

Way to Joel still loosing even with the craziness at work.

Diane that cake is great! You did it lost 4 pounds and stayed away from the icing leftovers.

Liane I can just imagine the feeling :( But like the othrs said it will come. I'm positive.

I weight myself at home the night before surgery, didn't get weighed at the hospital.

LW 328
CW 318 -10lbs

Very low energy, hopping it will improve once I can eat more variety.

Well guys, no smoke here in the east but mega winds all weekend. I have finally tilled the garden so I am already to plant my seedlings. I am thrilled this year as I have so much more strength this summer to do yard work.
We haven't really had any heatwave like yourselves so we are anxiously waiting for it to warm up a bit.
Diane the cake is awesome and then to lose 4lbs wonderful news.
Joel steady going as always and I hope work gets a bit easier for you. I too am on overload at work. I want to take a week off to go in the city to shop and can't find a week that I can. It is crazy.I think I,ll have to do a quick trip to Québec city to see my folks. They haven't seen the transformation yet.
Liane, Hang in there. You are still full of sodium chloride from surgery so you should see some movements in the scale soon.
Cindy the low energy is so normal and you will have it for awhile yet but trust me it gets better. Mine lasted several months and then I still get them but the episodes are much shorter. Your body seems to readjust from all the weight loss.
We are doing great gang. Getting healthier, getting thinner and changing our lives for the better. Three cheers for us!
Oops I almost forgot here are my stats: LW 189.5, CW 187 -2.5lbs
Have a great week!
