Saw the doctor yesterday...

I went for my three months appointment yesterday ( I am actually four months out !!)  and the doc said he was very impressed with my weight loss... I was so thrilled!!  



I went shopping after that and I bought a regular XL shirt, and a regular 18 capri in a REGULAR store!!! I can't believe it, the last time I wore this size was in my twenties!! I was so tired yesterday, because I shopped all afternoon, going from store to store, I had to try milions of things , too much stores to shop from, too many choices... I usually went to Penningtons, and bought what fits... no problem, no long shopping...Well, another difficult challenge !!LOL

Hey Diane, glad about your dr.s visit, way to go!!!  Your weight loss is super, I hope i lose as good as you when my time comes!!!

Congrats on your new clothes size, it should feel soooo good.  I understand about having difficulty finding clothes in big sizes, went shopping a couple of weeks ago and nothing fits.  Will have to be happy with stretchy shorts and tops for now but hoping next summer, I won't have to wear those anymore.

Thank you!  This surgery is really like a miracle, I could never imagined that I will be wearing normal sizes in less than 6 months... In january, I was wearing 4X and 26-28 pants! I was reading some posts about people having achieve that and i thought that could not happen to me! and it did, faster than I tought. So you'll be there surely next summer. Your surgery time must be coming soon now...

For the summer clothes, I still have 2 big bags of summer clothes to give, in sizes 4X and 26-28. I live in Terrebonne, if you are interested, maybe we can meet somewhere...Just let me know!

YAY Diane, that's great news. Great dr. appointment and shopping in regular size clothes store. Sounds like a great day to me... So exciting.

It's so hard to imagine being able to wear regular sizes again, I haven't worn regular sizes since I was a teenager.

Keep it up, you are dong great.

Thank you Cindy! I couldn't imagined it myself! You'll see, it is really amazing... some day you wake up and all your clothes are too big! And it will come faster than you think !

Way to go Diane! I can only imagine what it's like to be able to shop for clothes you actually want to wear, as opposed to what's available at Pennington's

Thank you Liane! Yes it is more interesting to go shopping than before. I was surprised that my doc said that, because I read on vsg forum people who lost much more than me... But I am pretty happy with my loss! How are you doing Liane, starting to get some full liquids or purees?

Hi Diane...what wonderful news!!! It's great when our Dr.'s are impressed with what we are accomplishing!!

Isn't it much better to have the problem of too many stores and too many choices...lol Now all you need is to win the lottery and you can indulge all your fashion fantasies..!!!

Thanks Ada, I was very proud of myself when my doc said that! And sure, it is much better to have too many choices... but it's weird, not knowing which store to go, going where I never dared to enter before ... i still feel like I shouldn't be there, thinking the salesperson will come and tell me that I am in the wrong boutique, that they don't have anything for plus sizes... Old habits die hard!  Try not to buy too much though, hope to continue losing!!!
