Patriot's day weigh-in...

Hi everyone! What a nice weather for a long week-end... Tried to work on the lawn but it was too hot in the sun. My husband started the air conditionning very cold, and I have to go outside to warm up... Believe it or not, I slept with two comforters... Hope my husband will decide to have surgery and be cold like me!  For our US friends, it's been around 90 here and should go around 98 tomorrow!   It should go back to normal temp by the end of the week ( around  72)

This last month has been really steady on the weight lost, no plateaus yet ( yeah!). And I even indulge in a little soft serve ice cream yesterday ( ate about 1 inche of the ice cream and I was full) I am happy to see I have restriction even with ice cream, I feared I would be able to eat it all...and more! I eat a larger variety of food now.

I have reached one of my intermediate goal: losing half the excess body weight!

LW 238,5  CW 234   -4,5 lbs

Gotta hit the store to buy new summer clothes, I am now wearing last year shorts, and they seem more like a skirt!
So it's the big week for our optifaster !!! Good luck, and keep us posted on your journey!

Have a nice hot week!!!

((hugs))

Hi everybody!

What a fantastic weekend. My wife, kids and I had our firts dip in the backyard pool. Water temperature was 72F...Quite confortable! (My son usually bathes as soon as water reaches 66F!)

Bravo Diane! Reaching this mid-goal is great!  Now, go hit the stores, 'cause summer rushes in!

Because I've been under the weather for the first half of last week and because I've worked two 12hrs shifts over the weekend, losing weight was kind of easy...I didn't eat much, didn't eat out and drank tons of fluids...

LW 232.6lbs
CW 228.2lbs.....-4.4lbs

Have a nice week!

Wow Joel congrats for the great loss!

My first goal is to eat more...These days, I would live on diet iced tea and everything would be fine...I've got to get fruits and veegies in my meals, so I can get my energy back.

Weight-wise, I begin to foresee Onderland but I'm not in a hurry...losing weight is on thing but being healthy is my prority.

Good to hear from you Derek!

That's awesome Joel. I guess our mindset changes through the weightloss process. At the beginning you think you just want this to work and to lose weight. After a while you realise that it works and now you just have to make sure you stay healthy and the weight will eventually all come off. I can't wait for that day to come!

Wow, you guys are doing great! Congrats Diane on reaching your intermediate goal ... half the excess body weight is a fantastic thing!
The heat is brutal .. we just put in the air conditioner (old fashioned window kind), can't wait for it to cool down the bedroom.

Let's see... Starting weight 365, last week 352, this week 342, so -10. Seems to have snuck up on me!
Funny, almost everyone I've talked to says "hmmm.... maybe you should save yourself 17K and just do the shakes..." Sounds very reasonable, but good lord there's no way I could do nothing but shakes and veggies for a couple of years :)

Tomorrow's the big day ... I have to be at the Rockland Medical Center at 7AM, surgery is at 8AM. They say the surgery takes an hour and a half, then 3 hours of recovery, then I can go home. Going to be a nice week to be home from work! :)

Have a great week everyone!!

Wow 23 lbs is a good start and the rest will follow!
I had the same reflexion about not having surgery but just optifast... But I am sure that if i didn't had surgery, I will have indulge a lot after optifast and gain all back!
Good luck , optifast is almost finished and your new life is here!
