trials and tribulations of WLS....

One of my goals with this process is trying to accept myself as I change in this journey.  For far the skin issues are minimal but they are becoming more apparent. Mostly on the thighs and the best way to describe it is having thighs that look like wrinkly elephant skin.  I am ok with it and I am thrilled that I am so comfortable in my skin.  Another area well is my breasts. I was a 46 DD and now I am a deflated 38D!. I now look like a woman who nursed at least ten children! and I have no children. LOL :). So last friday I had to go bra shopping. After trying on 23 different types and sizes ( I am not kidding), I managed to find two! I was laughing so hard in the dressing room seeing myself lifting my breast so that it could fit into the cup (sorry guys maybe too much female hormones here!) then I had to swish them around to make sure they were well placed and snug. Once in, boy I did look good and sexy.  So Saturday morning I put on my brand new bra and went to work in my garden. I did alot of bending over and such and at one point while I was bending down my breast fell out of my bra!!!! Both of them. I bursted out laughing so hard my husband looked up and when I stood up my breast were hanging out the bra cup but my bra didn't budge so I looked quite funny.  We laughed so hard we cried!   So now girls the lesson here is to make sure your bra fits and that you check your boobs if you bend down alot.  I still love the WLS......and all my deflated parts!

Hey Brenda!!

You are amazing!! Love your outlook on life and what it gives you.

Well let me tell you I will be thinking of you the day I'll go bra shopping after a considerable weight lose and probably laugh myself!!

Take care!

So funny! What a coincidence, I also went bra shopping friday! I was looking for a sport bra... Tried many many many ones... The girl at the dressing room was tired of seing me!!! you should have see me... Trying to get into those slip-on bras ( or getting out, it's harder!) One was too small, I thought I could never take it off...  and I was jumping in the room to see if the girls will move during exercises LOL
For now, the bras have been the hardest things to shop. I bought a new one a month ago, the band size had changed but not the cup... And now the band size is still ok, but the cups are too big !!!  I have to change frequently to have a good fit... because I don't want to have my boobs down to my pants !!!

Yesterday I went shopping for a bathing suit... OMG no luck there... All the soft, hanging, loose skin is showing everywhere!!!  And the sale lady kept asking: come show me, I'll tell you how it fits" NO FREAKING WAY I'll get out of that room  wearing this!!!
Anyway, despite all those hanging parts, I too love my WLS and my new life...   After all, I can now make " pet de d'sous de bras"!!! when I move my arms too fast!!
