I will probably have VSG this year with dr. Atlas (waiting since dec.08) and have recently had problems with stomach ulcers so I decided to cut Pepsi from my diet since april 15 th. Let me tell you, it is really hard to stop!!! I still crave it after almost 2 weeks... But I tell myself that it will be easier for when i get my surgery date, won't have to quit everything at the same time. I now drink a lot of Crystal Light and It does help a little.
I don't know if dr. Atlas allows us to drink other things in addition to the shakes but i'm pretty sure Crystal Light would be ok. But you should ask him before you do it.
