Day One
Today is the first day of many many for Optifast. I have to do it for 4 week :(
I made the chocolat for breakfast with some ice in a shaker. And Vanilla in the magic bullet. Looked liked ice cream, I put it in a thermos and in the fridge at work for lunch.
So far not liking the chocolat drink at all... I hope vanilla is better. It's going to be a long 4 weeks.
I'm taking pictures tonight and measurements. I weighed myself last night and it was obvious I spend the week pigging out on my old favorite junk food.
See you on the loosers bench.

The countdown has begun!!! Good luck on the Optifast... The first three days or so are the worst, after, it will be easier... Don't forget to try adding some flavoring to your shakes, because it will soon become boring... I liked almond extract in chocolate shake, or a little diluted nescafé, to make it moka-like...
It will soon be over and you'll be on surgery day!

Yes, I got some sugar-free syrup ( Da Vinci) from thelowcarbgrocery.com and enjoyed it. They deliver in less than a week, so you can order some now. It is worth the price, to change the taste...
I used the white chocolate one in vanilla shakes... I also liked the kaluha ( like coffee liquor) and the rum and butter, and the caramel, the fruity ones I found too sweet ( matter of taste). The pineapple and the coconut make great pina coladas-like... I still use the syrups in my plain yogourt or in my protein shakes...I think it is a great time to be on the optifast, because in this weather we start to enjoy iced beuverage like iced coffee etc... I did mine in january, defenitively not a great time for iced-cold drinks!!!

I agree with Diane, Da Vinci sugar-free syrups are very useful to upgrade the taste of yogourt or protein shakes (I didn't have to use Optifast myself). Being a coffee aficionado, I bought Kahlua (of course!) and german chocolate cake (exact name?) and liked them both.
Hang on Cindy, D-day is coming up!

I love the butter rhum, and caramel. I also bought the Bailey Irish Cream flavour. Liked it but it isn't near the real thing. I wondered about the white chocolat and german chocolat ones. I will definately try those. I did like the strawberry but I don't use the amount recommended as I too find them really sweet. Good luck Cindy. We are here for you and take this one day at a time. I only did mine for two weeks but I did find that after four days you get your brain wrapped around the idea and your cravings disappear. Time will fly by now Cindy and I am already warming the bench for you....
