MIA is an accronyme for missing in action. It is an expression when we haven't seen someone after we know that they were doing something, somewhere. stag is the english word for un enterrement de vie de garcon avant qu'il se mari.

Ah there you are Derek......I've been wondering about you.....how was this great stag of yours....

Hello everyone! Thank you Brenda for posting I think that's lovely of you to wonder how I've been doing since surgery. The answer is great-- I feel absolutely fine and am enjoying being more active than I have in a long, long time.

I'll be honest though, I got frustrated and upset with my seemingly slow weight loss and the lack of noticing by friends and colleagues. I went through a but if a down period when I wasn't checking in and kinda just wanted to get through the day without having to think about protein, water, or how much everyone else was losing. I met with the dietician on Monday who was very happy with the amount of weight I've lost and made me feel better about the long term journey we're on. I'm glad to see everyone doing so well, and if you have any questions don't hesitate to post or ask I'll be happy to discuss some of the emotional practicalities that go along with this decision
