Tried something new at M&M

Just wanted to share with you my new find. I tried their new chinese beef and veggie stirfry. It is sold in a carton chinese takeout container. It was on sale and I was there to pick up some chicken breast bistro style. Anyway I bought one and checked the ingredient list and carbs 21, sugar 4 and protein 19g. The portion is probably too much for newbies but for me I managed to eat all the meat and three quarters of the mixed veggies. The veggies were nice and crispy. Not soggy. The broccolli tasted fresh and the meat was tender. It actually tasted like a chinese stirfry beef with broccoli. I am definately going to pick some more up. Quick lunch or diner option for postop life.  I would not have guessed it was a frozen diner. It was that good. I warmed mine up in the oven instead of the microwave.  For people who live in the city well real chinese food would be better but as a second option this is really good. I thought I would share...........let me know what you think if you try it.  Their french onion soup is also very delicious.

I was wondering about those chinese take-out boxes...I usually get an e-flyer from M&M and have seen them there often but haven't tried them yet...will def. try them now.

Very interesting Brenda. I might have to take a look and it after my diet as it is relatively low in carbs and high in protein and I just LOVE Beef and Broccoli. Was it really expensive?

4.39 on sale reg price 4.69. Good price for a complete meal. Certainly a bit pricy pre op as you would usually eat more than one type and then add the rice. But definately worth it post op.

Thanks Brenda, I will sure look at it. And with the small portions I am eating, I will probably get 3 meals out of it! This surgery has a nice effect on the grocery bill!

I know how you feel. It's been the same for me since the start of my diet. Not just groceries but junk food stops for Pizza or McDo.
