Back from "cabane a sucre" and still alive!

Today, I had dinner at a nearby sugar shack with family members, and things went better than expected! (I was a bit anxious since I'm just out of 10 days of traveller's diar***a... )

I had small portions of omelette, ham, potatoes, crêpes and I even had baked beans and coleslaw; I skipped on pea soup and oreilles de criss (I'm not that stupid!).

As Diane experienced a few days ago, eating out is more than possible after bariatric surgery!

Great for you! It's so good going to the restaurant, the cabane à sucre, live a normal live like everyone. I went to the restaurant tonight, ate 1/4 of chicken breast parmigiana, and brought the rest for lunches for the week. It's good for the moral and inexpensive too! And the best thing is even if we go eating out, we are able to eat small portions  and lose weight anyway!!!

I am now having a major melt down for maple sugar....LOL.
I don't think I would have been that courageous as you BigJoe. A cabane à sucre! I am definately waiting till next year for that one. Happy to hear that you had a great time.

It was quite easy: Bits of food and lots of chat. Everybody else was quite busy loading up on fat and sugar, so I made conversation!
