I had surgery with Dr Christou On Feb 2nd in the private clinic. Funded thru OHIP.  All is well and going very good. No food problems, incisions looks great other than one thats infected and getting packed every other day. 31 lbs down from the start of optifast!!

I'm so glad to have found you all.  I was suppose to have RNY today in his private clinic as I was self payiing and I live in New Brunswick.  They called me Thursday last week to advise me that the anestesiologist was uncomfortable with putting me under since I have respirtory issue and there is no crash team at the clinic.  They have rebooked me at the Royal Victoria however not until April 14th, I was devastated.  I was on optifast for 4 weeks and started at only 3 per day and went down to 2 per day...lost 26 pounds in 24 days but it was rough...I've rebooked my flights but now I need some advise on a good close hotel with a restautant for my mom and a fridge and microwave for me...seems like alot in the area but has anyone had any good experiences

Thanks
Angela

I stayed at Hotel Le Cantile,(Which had a mini fridge, microwave, toaster and some dishes) it was nice, and older hotel but very charming, they do have their own restaurant in the hotel as well,  the Omni is right there as well, as well as Best Western etc all on Sherbrooke St which is literally 2 min up the hill to the Royal Victoria.  There are tons of restaurants, shopping etc all around, and St Chatherine St is 2-3 blocks from these Hotels.

Use itravel2000.com, hotels.ca or something like that they usually have better rates!!! Good luck, spring in Montreal is awesome!!
