Monday Weigh-In
I am so in my problems that I forgot to congrats you!
Wow Derek, you are starting in a very good way, continue like this!
Brenda, thanks for your good words, and keep the good work, wow, another 4 pounds!!
Thanks Kass for thinking about me, and congrats on your weight loss!! I am happy it's going well for you! 25 pounds since surgery... I am feeling a little jealous, I have lost 15, and I am heavier than you and not eating much... I hope I will not be in the 1% that doesn't lose with surgery...
Bye
((hugs))

Diane I didn't notice how I posted!!! I've only lost 12lbs since surgery, the rest was pre OP. I am sure we are not in the 1% we just need some time I supposed. I'm glad you're seeing the doctor, hopefully there is something wrong so it can be fixed and you can get back to normal!!!
Have a good week

I am so amazed at people who are losing like 30 pounds the first month... I was hoping, since I am heavier, to lose faster, but it doesn't seem like it... Well, now it's not my biggest ( lol) preoccupation, I will get better and hope the lost will follow. I just realized I was taking generic PPI, I will change for the real pantoloc, maybe it will work better on the acid...
Have a nice week too, don't work too hard !

Anne, we'll be all cheering you on. But you can join the thread even if you are presurgery. It is mostly for fun and accountability. I certainly remember being in your position and envying others and hoping my turn will come one day. Keep the faith.

Diane,, a friend of mine on the Ontario Board known as SamIam was operated at the same hospital and with my surgeon so we have been keeping tabs on one another. She also experienced severe GERD after surgery and as I suggested to her Nexium is a better med than Pentaloce as it is a double molecule. Hubby is in the pharmacy field. So if your Pantaloc isn't working than ask to be changed to nexium. I have it for years and since surgery mine is barely noticeable. I still take Nexium on occassion but I was a daily user. I am sure she would conact her and share as she is a wonderful person. She had the VSG done so she may be a good source of info. As for weight loss, all I lost in the beginning is between 1 and 2 pounds. It has only been since recently that it is increasing. Last week .5 and this 4 so it averages out to about two. Don't focus so much on the weight loss. YOur body is in healing. You'll catch up Diane. YOu need to trust the surgery. Firstly, you need to feel better! Sending you positively good vibes. I am going to get you a serious pep talk when we see each other in a couple of months :). Here is my cheer you upper!
