Thanks for the support guys! I can't believe I'm disapointed with 11 pounds in 2 weeks lol! My Weigh****chers days I would pass out from excitement at a 1 lbs a week weight loss--

Anne feel free to ask me anything either here on the boards or in a private message

Ok so taking Diane's approach and pulling out both scales I weighed myself last night and here are my numbers. As funny as this may seem, I was quite happy to see I didn't weigh more than that. I weighed this much at my consult last year so not gaining a pound in almost a year is a huge achievement for me.

Current Weight: 411lbs
Goal Weight for Surgery: 380lbs
Goal Weight: 220lbs

Are these realistic numbers?

Great Derek, you didn't gain a pound in a year, Congrats!!! It is so easy gaining a few pounds every year... I think your goals are very realistic... Soon, you'll be on the road to reach your goals...
Have a nice day!

Actually for me I think I gained on average of 30-40 pounds every year so to maintain my weight even though I maintain it at a hefty 410 is pretty good for me. Now I know where I can cut back on or increase on and go from there. Until next weeks weigh-in.

Derek I don't know how tall you are so I cannot comment on your goal weight. I do think it is realistic for a guy to lose about 25lbs on Optifast prior to surgery. Also, congrats for not putting a pound on this past year....it is an achievement.

Thanks Brenda. I'm actually 6'1" so my "ideal" weight is between 152 and 187 buy I know I'll be way too small if I hit that. Yeah I'm a big guy but my Quads (thigh muscles) are HUGE in muscle mass from playing hockey. I used to squat 600 pounds (the max on the squat machine). I probably can still do it. It would be so awesome if I could see how I would look with 5% body fat just to see really how much muscle I have. Doesn't everyone wish that?
