Low blood pressure

Since 2 days, I was feeling very tired, I slept all afternoon for two days. I have begun to have nausea, and headaches.  I was beginning to dehydrate, because I can still not drink very much. But I realized that I am taking 3 pills for HBP and one is a diuretic, that can cause dehydratation. So today, I decided to not take any of my three pill, and see... I went to the pharmacy to take my blood pressure and it was very low 98/51, even having not taken my pills... I wonder what my BP was yesterday, as I took my three pills, that is surely the reason I was so weak...

Today with no pills, and more G2, I feel less nausea and headaches.  The doctor has told me that in a month or two, I will not be needing my BP pills, but I didn't figure it will be so fast! I bought a BP monitor, and check if I still need them.

It will be great if I didn't need anymore pills, I have been taking those for 10 years!!

In the "shopping" subject, I bought my BP monitor at Costco, it is a wrist model, so no problem with the size of the brassard. I also saw that they have a scale that goes up to 400 pounds.Or if you don't want to invest in this scale ( but it is only 39.99), I just saw on another internet site that someone bought 2 identical scales, and weight himself one foot on each. Not a bad idea I think...

Have a nice evening!

Diane

Hi Diane,

So how have you been feeling this weekend? Hope your BP hasn't been giving you any more trouble.

BTW I never knew that a BP monitor (wrist model) existed. I will look into it as well as the scale at Cosco. Thanks for the info and I hope you had a wonderful weekend.

Hi Diane,
I hope your BP is better today! As for the two scale approach, I think that's the best idea ever. I can't believe I never thought about it. I've got 2 scales at my moms place where I moved out of a year ago that I could go and get. I'll go and pick them up tonight and see how it goes. I guess as long as the weight is the same on both scales you are centered and it should give a reasonably accurate weight.
