Hi guys!!! Thank you so much for all the supportive messages. I'm so bummed I didn't get to wish Diane good luck, but as you all know I did my surgery as an outpatient so yesterday was a little hectic. The Rockland MD folks were so so nice, and get this you walk into the operating room-- I thought that was funny, I just jumped up on the bed and the anasthesiologist said ok Kassandra here we go and then I woke up in the recovery room.
The nurses were fantastic, I didn't have any incision pain but the CO2 back up in my should area was killing me. They fill your abdominal cavity with air so there is room to move around but then the air gets trapped in your body for like 3 days and you just have to walk it off. They had me sitting up by 4 pm and my mom picked me up at 6. The first day I just slept but did have a hard time getting comfortable.
Yesterday was a bit of a haze, still wasn't up for any pc time, just in and out of sleep, trying to sip and walk every hour-- my dog is following me around everywhere which is cute until I almost tripped over him yesterday . I'm supposed to take my bandages off today and I get to shower tomorrow, although I'm confused the Sacre Coeur nutritionist has given me a different schedule than the Rockland MD nurses, so hopefully when Diane's back I can compare to see which one she is following.
So it's done! I know I'll feel more normal everyday, but I can tell you right now I have had no regrets at all!

Hi Kassandra!
I'm so happy to hear that everything went as planned! Kinda weird feeling you must have had to walk on your own operating table. FrEaKy!!! Glad to see you are sipping and walking. That's the best thing you can do for yourself.
So what's the pain like compared to the no pain you had before surgery?

Hi Kassandra,
Congrats on your new sleeve!!! So what are you going to name it? I heard that people actually name their sleeves...lol
Hope you are feeling well enough to walk around and that you are getting in some fluids.
Can hardly believe that you and Diane are sleeved!!
I'm hoping that the pain isn't too unbearable. I had a c-section when I gave birth to my daughter so I'm thinking it might be similar (which actually wasn't too, too bad)
So any details you can give us...feel free!
Take care and chat soon!
