Hi, I am waiting to find out when I will be getting my surgery. I too have Dr. Henry Atlas. I heard that he's very good. When did you find out your date and how long did it take you to get your date? Josee France has been so kind with me and as answered patiently my questions. Her help has made a huge difference for me and I can't ever thank her enough. Oh no, I meant nothing it was a message for my friend Val... Dr. Atlas is one of the best Doctors in Quebec so not to worry he is great! It is just that the waiting period is a bit longer than what I expected, but from what I heard my turn should come pretty soon, take care and will let you know how it goes!

Hi Val, I am having the VSG. I just can't wait until I get the phone call and know my date. This is creating a real problem in my life since I run my own business and need to know when I will be out of the work field and for how long. Anyways, I hope I hear from the hospital soon! Please note that if you're having second thoughts, you have to do more research, you have to be absolutely 200% sure of the surgery you're choosing, since this will impact your life forever. I know that the VSG is right for me and I would not settle for anything less. At the beginning, I was looking into getting the Roux en Y and then I heard about the VSG, I did lots of research on the subject and then decided that this is what I choose for me. Please keep an open mind and check all your options, this way you will know that you are making a very informed decision. There is no right or wrong in this, it's all about picking what is right for you and only for you, since this is your life and you will have to face the future with your choice. You might want to check the forum on this website about all the wls surgeries and their pros and cons. Best of luck to you and feel free to ask questions anytime.
