Lap Band Surgeon in Montreal

I'm planning on getting banded and I'm hoping that those of you who got banded in Montreal can help me choose the best surgeon. So far it seems it's between the following people (I'm going for the private route): 1- Dr. Pierre Leclerc at Westmount Square Surgical Center. 2- Dr. Pierre-Yves Garneau at Rockland MD. 3- Dr. Steven Miller at SPA Diva Medical. There is also Dr. Nicholas Christou who seems to be really good. But he's charging close to $18000 while the three others are all around $16000. Sharing your experience with me is greatly appreciate as it will help me tremendously in choosing my surgeon. Thanks!

I had the Vertical Sleeve however, you may want to try my Surgeon, Dr. Henri Atlas, rue Grenet, Montreal associated to Sacre Coeur and Universite de Mtl. He will charge you $12,000 cad private. Hope this helps, he is very good. Josee-France

i have dr.atlas, he does not charge 12 000 anymore since he is at rockland md, sacre coeur did not want to do them anymore. i was scheduled to do it there in march and back then the price was 12 000 but they had to put me on hold do to the change. now the price is 16 000. i was suppose to have surgery this morning but posponed it, and now don't have a date. i'm still on optifast for the 6th week, but must stop because 6 weeks is the max you can be on this thing. so i have to be on an atkins like diet until i get my surgery date. i asked dr.curry for advice on the american forum(which you should check out if you haven't already) and he told me to try to lower my bmi to 50 to be more secure, so 20 lbs to go.
