OKAY...had a few replies, guess Monday is an okay day for most, not all, but we hope you can all try to come for a coffee....6:30 at our usual place ....I will send a personal message to those *****plied and if anyone else wants to join us, just message me and I will let you know when and where.....
I will be there, Wednesdays are not good but any other day would be great...let me know the place and time...
OKAY people...one last one before the summer hits us hard...and we all get too busy to take the time to talk.....Someone who has some restrictions on their time ( evening work) should pick a day and time and we can all see how it goes......Lots of new people on the list now so they have lots of questions...cone out and talk for a few minutes....
well I work down town 7:45 3:45 Monday to Friday. So let me know what works for you and or the group that goes. I have my first appoint for May 28th so be nice to hear some feed back and to know what kind of questions I should be asking.

The people I went to my all day info session were all from NB. Just put up a post on the PEI page requesting to meet I am sure some will. Hope your Easter went well!
my first appointment got changed to May 28th do any of the people go ti the info sessions do any of you meet I notice one of the post about meeting for coffee do a group of people from PEI get together who either had the surgery or about to have the surgery ?? I got the information book from the Dr. office. on Thursday.
Wondering how everyone is doing? Weather is hopefully going to keep getting better. Wondering about a coffee get together? Would love to see everyone and have some good conversation.
Hi John,
I was told the same thing by health PEI. They told me they only do those procedures because they are more successful and don't have the trained staff /doctors to work with them. Along with other reasons. I know of a few men that have had both procedures, some recently, some a few years ago and none have ever said they regret it! There are more people all the time getting it and even more who are talking about it. If you look under the NewBrunswick forum there are Islanders there too. And men from NB who chat. But the recovery is all the same. Feel free to chat anytime!
it is nice to know the time frame my family doctor ref me 7 yrs ago and I got the letter from Health PEI that they only pay for the VSB or RNY not the Lapband. I was contacted last Thurs for an appointment with Dr. B for the 25th which I am assuming is the next step to see if I qualify for the procedure. I not sure what is next or if it will go any further than that my BMI I was told was 44. I know there are lots of reasons for some being shorter wait or a longer wait for sure there are lots of factors. It is nice to hear for others for sure do you know any men that had the VSB.
