Thanks! Take a look at my "latest posts" on the main LB board and then read back to my post from May of 2003 by clicking on page 18. I was on OH for a few months prior but I wound up stumbling across the main forum one night and said, hey, what is this a LAP BAND Board? Why don't I try to post. They maintained that post on the 18th page but others in between were cut out as I am sure they do not keep everything. I get kind of nostalgic because OH helped me to make my decision to get the lap band and WLS in general. It was much better back then with nobody being as rude as they have been recently. Although I have not been as active or as successful, I have had no complications and my band is still secure after almost 5 years. I will make this work one of these days because I got it knowing that I could make it work when I needed it. Want to stay positive and on the board and really prove that it can be done, nearly 5 years later. Isn't that why we were banded in the first place, knowing it would be there when we needed it? I was really surprised when the new doc's psych consult assumed that I was there for a revision. I told her very loudly, NO, I am here to make this baby work! Luckily she wants to help me to get there. Melissa

I am sad that people are leaving for other places. I am going to stay here on OH, although I might check out other places now and then. I have been writing to OH about this and I do believe that they will fix it. I doubt they are well staffed on the weekend when all this has been going on. I like PEI best of all because it is a small group of friends who have been through a lot together. It is easy on a small forum like this to keep up. And I can check on the main Lap Band forum for newbies who need help and who have not gotten many responses. AND the R&R forum is kinda funny at times, if I ignore the mean crap. I think OH has grown somewhat beyond control, and if we all continue to send them emails when they have problems they will have to fix them. Of course, that being said, I am playing around with Google.Groups just to see how it works.
