Topic: Reduced Rate at Moncton Hotel
Just occured to me to put this info out there in case anyone needs it - I have had to spend a few nights in Moncton over the years both pre-and post op - and the best Hospital Rate I found as far as a decent Hotel goes was the Rodd Park House Inn. I can't remember the exact amount - but it was quite reasonable. I have always found the accomodations there clean, quiet, confortable and the staff always pleasant and helpful. It's also in a scenic part of Moncton - with the river and walking trail practically on the doorstep.

Topic: Affordable Vitamins for Canadian RNY Patients!
For all of you out there who have struggled with importing Bariatric Vitamins and the HUGE customs brokerage fee that result from Fed Ex and UPS - I wanted to share this!
I have jut found www.bariatricchoice.com. Not only are their vitamins the same price as www.bariatriceating.com but they give you 10% off every order over $99 (and more if you order more) AND free shipping to Canada AND they ship USPS so you only have to pay the taxes and customs charges - not the additional brokerage fee (that usually was $50 per shipment for me)
I have easily saved 50% by ordering through BariatricChoice.com.
I wanted to share because this is just so damned expensive - and considering the times - a $100 in my pocket is better than in someone else's!
No - I am not getting paid for this (I know - it sounds like a infomercial!!!!) am just so relieved to be able to find something that is affordable that I wanted to share....help my Canadian Brothers and Sisters out!
Good Luck!

Topic: Looking for kidney donor
I understand this an awfully strange request on this forum and more than anyone could ask for, but I am going out on a limb in hopes I will be successful in finding what I'm looking for in this time of desperation
A dear friend is looking for someone with blood type O (positive or negative) who is willing to do the utmost honourable thing and donate one of their kidneys. She is a young mother of 3 and is currently on a waiting list for cadavar kidney (nearly an 8 year wait time). Her one functioning kidney is currently at a 17% function and dropping quickly... she will not make it even near the 8 years.
Please, if you or someone you know is O positive or negative and willing to do such an amazing thing, please, please, PLEASE contact me through private message. In addition, you will be paid for time off work and travel expenses.
Thank you for taking the time to read my plea and thank you in advance to anyone who messages me
