I don't know? I feel fine otherwise. No diarrhea or vomiting and overall feel fine. Yes, it was last weekend I woke with the sharp pains and usually when I get the aches like this it goes away, but it's not this time. I always feel weird going to the doctor with stuff like this, I always figure it'll go away. My mother was getting on my case and said maybe my appendix is acting up. I went on the web and it can be just about anything but they say the gallbladder will be serious pain and not something that creeps up gradually. But then again, you never know! I'll keep you posted.

Yup, I can drink fine. I just started TOM this morning so maybe that's why I struggled with the oatmeal. Hopefully it'll go away! Thanks!

Karen, Do you think you might have a touch of the flu or a virus? I'm a little worried because I remember (maybe last weekend) you had a severe pain on the right side? I think you were thinking it may be gallbladder? If you're still struggling, you really need to get checked out. Why is it this stuff always happens on weekends or when it's snowing? It doesn't sound like this pain is band related.....but who knows! Take care and feel better.....don't let it go unchecked for too long! - Ann

Honey, I have NO idea! I think you should call your band doctor, first! You're saying you couldn't get your oatmeal down? How abou****er? I'm sorry, I can't stay on, now, but please call your doctor, if nothing is going down!

Topic: My belly hurts!
Not sure what is going on. My entire mid section from side to side, under my breasts to the belly button line aches. I feel like I've done a million sits ups or remembering what it felt like to be pregnant and having the baby pushing from inside out! My ribs ache in that area...just seems to be a very uncomfortable feeling. I woke with it this morning, ate some bacon and cheese sticks for breakfast, headed out to my daughters b-ball game and while I stood there the pain went away. I came home, tried to eat some oatmeal and it wouldn't go down and the achey tummy started again! I don't feel pain in my esophagus or chest when I eat, I highly doubt it's band related but I've always wondered where the band is? Is it under your breastbone or further down? I should ask my surgeon. I've had these achey feelings ever since being banded and my surgeon wasn't concerned as he chalked it up to gas pains. I'm not so sure. I've asked about gall bladder on here before, but can these be subtle signs of it? Could it give me these achey pains and then one day I'll have a full blown attack? I know...I need to call my doctor....I'm not sure if I should see my surgeon or my PCP. I hesitate going to the PCP. Thanks for letting me vent....praying the aches go away!

Well, you know it has to be her. I couldn't find those posts, so I guess she blocked me. Oh well, I don't care about that crap.

Oh Alyssa, I know it won't be long now until you start getting betting! Any news on the date for the hernia repair? Also, I think you should take a list of the meds you are taking - prescription, OTC and any supplements - take them to a pharmacist and let the pharmacist analyze them. It is a profession that requires annual training and perhaps there is a combination that is not working for you. I am planning to do the same with my meds soon - when we see different docs for things something can be missed. I would also recommend a recumbent bike - you can put it in front of the TV and ride 5 minutes at a time, if that's all you can do. It will add up, and there is no pressure to the joints. One last thought, have you heard of this? It might be something to ask about - so that you can keep the band fairly open - if you still have hunger issues after the hernia repair. StomaphyX Incision-Free Gastric Bypass RevisionIllustration of stomach pouch outlet before and after StomaphyX: Despite the remarkable record of gastric bypass surgery in achieving an average of 60-80% excess weight loss, there are some patients who are unable to lose as much weight as they would like or who start to re-gain weight a few years after surgery. The StomaphyX procedure offers them help without having to undergo traditional surgery. * Alters the small stomach pouch that was created in the original gastric bypass procedure, decreasing its volume and slowing the passage of food into the intestines. * There are no incisions. Consequently, there are no scars. * Procedure: While under anesthesia, the flexible StomaphyX device is gently lowered through the patient's mouth into the stomach pouch under the visualization of an endoscope "camera" placed down the shaft of the device. Once inside the stomach pouch, sections of the stomach wall are folded with multiple suture-like fasteners, making the pouch smaller. The illustration depicts the bottom of the stomach pouch before and after the procedure. * Approved by the FDA in 2007. Hundreds have been performed with overall risks much lower than traditional surgery. We love you - and this is the best support group ever!
