It just seems to me that that kind of gain is pysically impossible! Which leads me to think it is fluid weight. Do any of your meds cause fluid retention??
My mom went through a period where she rapidly gained about 50 lbs and most of it seemed to be in her stomach area. Turned out she was retaining fluid in her intestines!

Yesterday we had a big cake show here in Austin. I didn't enter the decorative competition - I am way outclassed in that department! However, the last couple of years I got to taste a few of the entries in the tasting competition and I always felt I could do better. This year I entered the tasting competition in the "Truly Texas Cake" category (had to have a recognizaby Texas or local ingredient/flavor). I entered a chocolate chipotle cake with Mexican vanilla custard filling, chocolate ganache coating and agave nectar sweetened whipped cream frosting. I topped it off with chocolate covered coffee beans and a chocolate covered jalapeno. It was pretty spicy! One of the judges even ate half of the chocolate covered jalapeno (someone is obviously crazy). I won first place! I got a cute engraved silver serving tray and a check for $100. Of course I ate nothing but CAKE all day yesterday, so today I really need to get back on track!

Now that's funny Jeanine! My mother always told me it was okay to talk to myself, but when I started answering I was in real trouble......
But there is a plus for her - she will never get an answer she doesn't want to hear.

DSers think their surgery is the only fool proof one. There's a few ppl on the revision board who have failed the DS--it can happen.
Besides, if their surgery is the best, why don't more doctors perform the DS?
Topic: Heartburn?
Hi Guys! I need some advice. Almost three weeks ago, I went to my Dr. for a fill. Right after that, I got really sick for almost 10 days with a sinus, ear infection. Since I've been feeling better, I've noticed that I almost always have that burning feeling of heartburn. I have never experienced this symptom once since banding. Now for my fill level, I'm pretty sure I'm too tight. I can only do warm liquids in the morning, my band does loosen up during the day. I have already decided to have my doctor give me a slight unfill, but wanted to know if the heartburn is a sign that something is wrong with the band, or I'm simply just too tight? I'm trying not to panic right now!

Hi everyone. Sorry I don't post more here. I am doing pretty good after my TT. I am still a bit sore and still have 2 drains. Hopefully I will get them out Thursday when I go for my next post op. I plan on going back to work on March 3rd. I got out for the first time yesterday. Took my son to see Sesame Street live. I was good to get out and about. I am still very swollen, but that is normal.
