I'm on my third exercise bicycle -- this one a recumbant. That's how much I've used my exercise equipment -- I've worn it out. (And yet, I managed to become morbidly obese.)

I am 2-years away from being able to collect full SS, but I have no pension, etc. and can't live on it. I will probally have to wor****il I "swim with the worms", so to speak!!

I can understand that. I don't do weight loss challenges because I think that how much I lose is something I can't control. I can control how much I eat and how much I exercise, but I can't control how much I lose in response to that exercise and eating.

I did 45 minutes on my recumbent bike, reading 98 pages of a new book, and going for 10.3 miles! I am also exhausted, so I am taking Friday and Monday off (for my birthday weekend!)

10 pounds just this week -- something's not right. I don't know if you've seen an endrocrinologist before, but when I was diagnosed by my internist with hpothyroid, I researched it and discovered that the American College of Endocrinologists had changed the standards for a healthy TSH level and my internist didn't know that. they've determined that people with hypothyroidism lose best with levels between 1 and 2, whereas the previous standard was in the region of 4 or 4.4 (I don't remember.) It's just not fair for you to have to go through this, but I guess we know that life's not fair. I'm sure that when you become a physician you'll have a lot of empathy for your patients. Take care of yourself and please accept this official hug.

I'm so sorry! Are you close enough to retirement that you can just work part-time? Hope you find something soon. Maybe this is the chance you needed to focus on your business and really make it grow!

No real lunch, just some grazing...string cheese, yogurt, tomatoes, red grapes
Lasagna, salad with light Italian
Probably will hav a skinny cow later (love the mint ice cream sandwich)

So sorry to hear about your job loss. I know what a scary thing that is as I have experienced it several times in my life. That's the one good thing about being in Jewish Education -- vastly underpaid, but more jobs than you can shake a stick at (that is, of course, if you want to work part time.) Keep your chin up.
