Got thru the first three days of 'not cheating' and it's easier. I was in chocolate detox!
B: Weight Control Oatmeal
L: Crab meat (plain) w/ a V8
D: lean ground beef (about 1/2 cup) cooked in skillet/drained w/ spinach
S: Salt free pretzels
Lotsa water.....it's getting embarassing - I can't even get thru a meeting w/out having to run to the ladies room!

Ooohhh I'm glad you clarified that! I thought someone was trying to disguise themselves as you!

In brief - All drugs have their advantages and disadvantages.
We researched it quite a bit and were very very reluctant to put my son on anything. (My FIL is a world reknowned shrink whose whole career is based on treating psychotics without meds!!)
Ritalin is a stimulant and has been around for many many years. It's been the standard med for ADD for a long time and is very effective. The side effects can be of concern over a long period of time. If kids take too much they can become zombie like. Strattera is actually a mild anti depressant and also seems to work with ADD kids. There have been some (very few) reports of it being the cause for suicidal attempts if the kid already has those kinds of tendencies. Other side effects you need to be concerned with are tics and who knows what else. Adderal is also one of the newer drugs used to treat ADD.. I guess you need to try different ones to see which ones work..
There are lots of non-med ways to treat ADD too. The one that is of interest to me but we haven't pursued yet is the DORE center. It's about Cerebellular stimulation. Very cool stuff. Mucho dineros..
Welcome to my world...
Topic: RE: Dallas anyone?
Oh, that sounds like so much fun!! I went to Dallas about 6 times on business...over near Ft Wort. Surpisingly, I spent a lot of time over on Restaurant Row! Fabulous restaurants and food!
Have a Great Time!!
Topic: RE: I know what dumping feeling like now...
Oh, that doesn't sound fun, but it sounds similar to what a LOT of people are experiencing. Glad it passed. I'd try to stay on some nice warm soups. They always make me feel better!
This has to be the worst flu season I've seen in a really long time. Thank God for Bath and Body Works. I keep a few bottles of the antibacterial soap in my office and if someone comes in sneezing and coughing, I just sort of put it out there and squirt it on their hands!! And I have a couple of cans of lysol in the office too.
Try to take it easy.....get some rest and feel better!

Sorry to hear that Chelle! You just explained what happened to me in the doctors office. I believe my blood sugar dropped because I did that exact same thing! Sweaty, heart beating fast, thought I was going to throw up, it was awful! It passed eventually but yours seemed to go on much longer!
I hope you're feeling better.
