If have had the hots for him since he was in North and South on TV years ago. I feel so sorry for him and for his family. Ghost is my all time favorite movie.

How sad!

"I have never experienced any of the things in your second paragraph. I enjoy my life regardles of how much I weigh. I go to the beach, go swimming, am not ashamed to be seen in a bathing suit. I go out dancing and have more energy than folks half my age. I will certainly enjoy the way I look as I lose weight, but that is universal for everyone."

Oh. I got my LapBand because I was MO and life wasn't easy and my obesity was killing me and the only way to pretend that wasn't happening was to live in denial...not my forte. I had wls for reasons of health...FEELING better...LIVING longer...BREATHING better...not just "enjoying the way I look" as weight comes off.
I have trouble remembering to factor in those who say their lives were delightful. It makes me wonder why anyone with a perfectly wonderful life would have ANY surgery they didn't need.
Different strokes, I guess.
But I really do hope you get past his with whatever results you are seeking.

That IS an interesting post from Simpson. So, his patient demographic included too many people who were too stupid to follow simple instructions? Fascinating. I wonder how all the other DS doctors got lucky enough to have mostly COMPLIANT patients? ALSO fascinating is the part where he explains that at the three or four year mark, he had something like a 2% patient follow-up rate. That's pathetic. Maybe the patients weren't the whole problem.

Sorry to hear about this. Hope you get things sorted out. At the moment, in the UK, our economy is not too bad (although what do they say about when the US sneezes the rest of the world catches a cold?) but I know how difficult it was back in the early 1990s here so I can empathise to some extent.

Yep, I'm heading out for Spring Training bright and early tomorrow morning. Ahhhh, baseball, sunshine, baseball, time by the pool, baseball...... What a wonderful life!
I will probably jump on the board once or twice while I am in AZ so will give you a weather update and let you know how my Mariners are doing!

LOL...Work, you're always good for a laugh. I've read this forum for a while...LeaAnn didn't PM me. I read it before she even posted here. But, please keep on with your theories of behavior. And, everyone knows of your inferiority complex where I'm concerned so please save your insults. They don't work.
As far as Phyllis, I think we have a "mutal ***** understanding". I hate to hear of her suffering and have been reading her post about it on the other band forum. I'm glad she's research and considering a sleeve. It appears to be a great option for her (ironic how you were the only vet bander to take an oppposing stance). I hope she's successful. As a matter of fact, my own surgeon is considering not performing the band any more in favor of the sleeve. Again, I do hope she's successful and that she finds peace in her decision.
I have no idea what you're talking about regarding Irish Myst and her posting on the R&R forum. But, I HAVE read plenty of your own postings here concerning her...rather passive agressive. Again, the irony.
Topic: RE: What's on your menu, today?
Not much is on the menu today, Sharon. I had a somewhat hectic day that was a wee bit stressful (nothing serious, just trying to do too much) so didn't get my fluids in and my band decided to tighten down on me. So:
B: skinny cinnamon dolce latte
S: skinny cinnamon dolce latte
L: nothing - just forgot to eat since I was busy
D: egg flower soup and a couple bites of teriyaki chicken - nothing more was going in!
Take care!
