One Year Bandaversary

Can I come to the Island now that I am a year out??? I am officially one year out today!! Boy what a journey this year has been. From incision infections, to gallbladder removal, to 2 stomach viruses which resulted in me being unfilled for about 4 of the 12 months, and of course the norms of learning how to eat again and learning what works and what doesn't. Even with all of that I would not trade this for the world!! I have lost 116 pounds in a year. My doctor told me when I went to him recently that of all his patients I lost the most amount of weight in a years time. It has definitely been a bumpy road, and at times I felt like giving up, but I'm so glad I didn't!! I'm banded for life!!!!! I will be having a low profile port put in on August 12th which I cannot wait for! I will admit that I never would have thought I would have done so well in the first year. My band has truly been a blessing to me!! It has changed and saved my life!!

Thanks Rose!! How is your knee feeling?? At this point it is looking like Wednesday might work best for us to get together.
