One last time, please....

Hate breeds hate. Meanness begets meanness. Snide remarks call for a response. I cannot in good conscience blame any of the DS'ers who came over here with vitriolic posts when they were invited by comments people here made. Do I have to like all the ugliness? Hell no! But geez guys, if you di**** out, even in what you thought was a somewhat private setting, you have to be able to take it. That said - Phyllis and LeaAnn seem to understand each other and I'll wager that they are both tough enough to handle themselves without our help. Heck, I would pay to watch those two debate, if everyone else would stay out of it. But ya know - that stuff is just made for the Rants and Raves board, not here. I don't apologize for anything my friends said. I can only control my own actions, and I'm not always very good at that. My only request is that you all take it to the R&R forum. And if someone brings an issue here, then ignore it if you don't like it. Sometimes you don't have to be right. It's ok to let things go. Now I am going to take a deep breath, send mental goodness to all of you, even those who annoy me , and head out to give that baby shower for LaraNicole.

When I posted about the information on Dr. Simpson stopping his DS surgeries and doing the lapband, I really was just trying to help bandsters feel better about their decision to have Lapband. I have never bashed the DS or any other WLS. I reserve the right to post information that might be helpful for others to know. I will not just NOT post because it might cause someone from another forum to come here and be rude. We are all responsible for our own behavior. I really didn't think the information I found was R&R material.

That was a great post - I was beginning to wonder about the DS since all I ever read was from DS'ers selling their post. It was very interesting reading, and I even contacted the doctor after reading it. I am waiting for a response from him.

I want to add to this that I am willing to play nice, but I don't think we should stand for the divide and conquer tactics that have been put into play here. So let's just not let it happen. We have the control here. I am crazy about all my lap band buddies even though I don't agree with everybody all of the time. A lot has been made over very little. I am sorry I said what I did, but there was no malice, just an attempt at being funny. It is all just verbal combat, which some of you are very good at. Let's just chalk this up to a learning experience and get on with the support that we all need. ok?

We already left the Lap band forum for this one. I just don't want everyone to go other places because of a transient situation. And don't tell anyone, but I laughed when I read your post - I got what you were saying.

I am sorry Chelle dont agree with this thread at all. I stuck up for a friend in a vulnerable time. (It wasnt my comments that brought the DS crowd here) Then I extended the olive branch and was puked on. (again..stupid I know) I will never never never cow to them again. The only reason I even tried..... was to get them off our board. Now you are saying "you dont have to be right"..."take it to the R&R forum"? Really? I could have done without this whole thread.
