Saturday Morning....New Start
I have a huge deck off my kitchen, too! Would love to blow it out and close it in but you're talking some serious bucks!! Not in the cards right now....I've got so many other priorities...like my UGLY bathroom!!
Colors for carpetting....My livingroom, dining room and halls are all done in a great quality carpet (previous owner owned a carpet store) but I don't like the color - it's a light greenish teal.....not bad, but not my first choice. My livingroom furniture is Presidential Cherry Wood (off white couch with W/ Cherry wood frame). I'm so open to the colors on the new carpetting....I have no idea what to get!! I'm not good at visualizing...... This will be interesting!!

when we first bought this house, jewel colors were hot, so we put in the top of the line carpet, in green/teal in our living room and decorated with plaids and the lodge look... and our dining room had rasberry carpets... that didn't last long, and the $ we investing in great carpeting wasn't taken advantage off. I have gone through 4 diff looks... I am always doing something, because of the wear and tear with daycare, I tore out all the carpets and have hardwood throughout. Now I have black leather, burgandy wallpaper halfway and cream with gold curtains and grapevine accents. The only thing I am not happy with is we have the brass/gold fireplace glass. My diningroom is my daycare room, and the kitchen has a table, but it doesn't accomodate all of us at one time, and the only time I can entertain is when I can use the patio. So blowing out the kitchen is something that drives me nuts. I feed my family, and 6 youngings so we do what we can, but oh what I would give for a Waltons style farmers table and the kitchen to fit it! Dang!
With what you have for furniture, you have alot of options!
Not sorry I missed the drama this week! I was down with version 2 of a bad cold and round 2 of antibiotics. Hopefully this one works!!
But as for today, I'm heading to a food shower in a couple of hours. I'm still in recovery mode from the fire. I moved into a furnished apartment last weekend and decided I wanted to start cooking again. So a group of ladies from a church I don't even attend are giving me a food shower today. A friend of mine attended there but moved back to Ohio almost 2 years ago. She let them know about my loss and so they're reaching out. Kind of strange for me...I've never been an outreach project before. Fortunately one of the ladies in the group works where I do so I won't be totally lost. I tend to be a tad bit introverted so this shower is way out of my comfort zone, yet I'm so grateful they want to do this for me.
