Well my doc got me in for a barium swallow today. I don't have the official word back yet, but the radiology tech and I both thought it looked like I have a bit of a slip.

Yes Dev, that would explain things. When do you see your doc? I'm sure he'll be unfilling you. Hopefully you caught this early and it will be as easy fix.

Well I'm waiting for them to call after they look over what they got from the radiology report. The radiologist said they should get it before they close today. I don't know for sure that is what it is, but it certainly looked like it. I expect at the very least she'll want to unfill me, hopefully I can get that done today because my chest hurts and I'm tired of trying to sleep sitting up.

Oh, honey, as Nancy said, I also, hope it was caught early, and you will just need an unfill, and a few weeks! Keep us posted, and hang in!

I am glad that it was caught early if it is a slip and I hope you can stand the the liquid phase too. I am sorry this happened and I hope you are feeling better soon.

The good news is when they find anything at all. The better news is that "bit of a slip" is easily resolved generally, with an unfill and liquids. Keep us posted, Dev. When will you hear from the doc?

Well, I was hoping I would hear by yesterday afternoon, but tat didn't happen, so I should hear something this morning. I'm ready for that unfill regardless, my chest hurts and I'm already tired of it taking 3 hours to drink 15 ounces.

It really is good news if they found it early. It is also good for you to finally have an ansewer. Good luck and let us know what happens.

Hey Dev, Sorry to hear you have a slip. But you can get through a slip. I know, I have done it. I did have to have another surgery, but my band was easily repositioned. It has been over three years since then and no furhter problems. Take care and keep us posted. Vicki

I really REALLY hope another surgery isn't needed - i was private pay and my insurance doesn't cover this at all.
