*sigh* - here we go again
Well, in less than 48 hours I've gone from feeling like I need a fill to sliming on clear liquids. Saturday I was fine all day (as I have been for over a month), went out to dinner for my anniversary and ate a good amount, even had steak! I had a little discomfort yesterday afternoon after eating a little bit of a turkey wrap kind of thing. Not stuck, just a "heavy" feeling, but it passed. Had a little of an omelet for dinner last night and it sort of stuck a little, I slimed a while but it passed. Drank warm tea afterwards and it went down. Decided to do liquids today and so I had a pre-made shake type thing for breakfast...the first sip landed like a ton of bricks. Tried clear chicken soup broth later and slimed. Arrrrggh.
I have an appointment Wednesday...I was supposed to get a fill, but now I think not. At this rate I might have to have an unfill.
I've been doing so good (at eating I mean)! So good that even with a 2cc fill, I haven't lost any weight! I've been able to eat just about anything!
I'm going to try to hang in there until Wednesday at least, and go to my appointment. Although if it does get better before the appointment I might just cancel. If not, I'll go so I can get a little removed.
I hope you feel better and don't have to have an unfill! I swell easily after a stuck or pb. Sometimes it will take more than a day to settle down. Your shake may have been too cold? I'm guessing because that still gets me, especially in the morning. Tiny sips is all I can do.
Let us know how you make out!
Karen
Hi Dev,
I hope things get better for you. I'm sure you know the drill by now, go on warm liquids and see how it does. If this was me, I would know that the steak (even though it went down well) irritated my stomach. That is how my band works - it doesnt like the red meats as much as fish and chicken. Isn't that weird? I know others have problems with chicken but not red meat. Our bands are so fickle.
Hang in there and hopefully your stomach settles down for you.
Take care,
Vicki
Dev , sorry to hear this . I will be anxious to see how you are doing . Hope it gets better ! I have to be very careful since my last fill which I had in Jan .. I have pain after I eat but after 30 minutes I drink some water and I am fine . I have no problems with liquids . I think I might be eating to much with this fill although I try not to eat more than a cup of food . I'm going to cut back on my eating and see how it goes . ~ Cindy
