...and I hope it comes across gently!
This board is for people you are 1 year post-op. It's not about excluding anyone, but we wanted a place where we vets can go. I've noticed a few lately who are posting here, and while we love you all, we encourage you to wait until you reach the 1 year milestone. We'll have a big party for you when you arrive!
In support of Chelle and Nancy! Please, non-vets, don't be hurt or offended! We are not being exclusive or in any way elitist! Many of us vets come on to other boards to share our stories and offer advice and encouragement. But, as you will realise once you get to that one year mark, the needs of newbies are very different and a vets' board is somewhere we can relax and support each other in a way that does not apply to people recently post-op. You really are better served on other forum.
See you in a few month's time!
Kate
I have been trying to support the main board more lately, I see vets on their everyday. So chances are high any question asked there will get some answer from a vet.
I blame OH everytime this issue comes up. We either have this old archaic board or we would have to go to the WLS graduate forum and fight over surgery choice with rabid foaming at the mouth my-surgery-is-better-than-your-surgery-types. How can we support one another in that envoirnment?
There are also certain realities that can be discussed here that may not be 100% band positive...because we are way past that stage. I would hate to interrupt any newbies "honeymoon" period with whatever rantings may be going on.
Enter at your own risk, but please respect the vets and do not post until you are one year out or at goal.

Great! Welcome! It's been a bit strange this weekend, but normally it's a great place to hang out. Try not to judge it by the last couple of days posts.
This is an older forum, so we don't have signature lines or a lot of the features on the Main Board. There are not nearly as many posts to wade through either.
Tell us about yourself when you are ready!
