I am pretty computer savvy, and pick things up very quickly. I have never used Excel, but if would be very helpful at work, and my boss would pay for me to take a class if that is what it takes. Is it something you can just start playing with and get it? Or have any of you taken classes to learn your way around it?

I would take the class - Excel 2007 has so many cool features and formulas. You could figure them out with the Help files, however I would do the class. I am taking Project and Powerpoint in March - I know the basics of both but want to be proficient.

I use it but only because it is already to go - I would never know how to put formulas or anything like that in it. Good luck!

I vote for taking the class too. I think it would be really helpful. It's not enough to do Excel with a Dummies book...

I use it all the time but I know there's so much more to it. I think most of the Microsoft products are intuitive at a starting level, but if you really want to use them extensively, you'll get a lot out of a class!

I taught myself and am pretty fair with it. I use it every day. If you have any questions, PM me and I will try to help.
