Tomorrow - for real

Tomorrow I am for real going to start using that checklist that the doctor gave me. It is not about calories or dieting, it is about living right. This has been a rather out of control weekend, as I tried to avoid all the work I need to do for the office (I started at 4am this morning, and completed 2 of 5 tasks). Will try to do the others during the Oscars.
Planned eating, drinking the water, moving more, and enough sleep. And lots of smiles - because that is what I enjoy sharing the most.
Help me break those bad habits! I refuse to get a fill ever again until I am practicing good living. And yeah my fill level is just fine at the moment anyway.
Were you really just reading my mind? My post was going to be called "Confessions of a Really Bad Bandster" I am totally out of control too - making really bad food choices. I can get everything else but for me, I struggle with food. That is what made me almost 300 pounds and that is what is keeping me from getting into onderland. I really do exercise and I really can run three miles without stopping. I do get all of my fluids in during the day *BUT* the darn food choices...UGH! OK, I am off to make my food plan for tomorrow. Thanks Chelle, for being in the same boat with me and for handing me a lifesaver and pulling me in. Tonight - NO MORE! I am finished... tomorrow is my new day.
Amen to that!! I'm so with you. I seem to have gone through a phase of lousy habits and I've made every excuse to justify them but none have me feeling great. The only redeeming factor is that I know my band can whip me back into the game if I just let it.
So, here's to a new beginning in the morning.....No regrets.....No drama.....just getting back to where we need to be. I actually stocked up on all the original 'soft food' to give my band a break and let it readjust itself so I can get right back on the bandwagon.
Good Luck....Let's all make this a great week!!!!
Oh Chelle,
You just hit on one of my "good choice for a bad choice" solutions.
I had ice cream for lunch today. But, instead of buying a half gallon of ice cream and putting it in the freezer to call my name over and over and over.... I went to Baskin Robbins and had one small cup. And that was only after spending about three weeks telling David I wanted ice cream and we were going to go have Baskin Robbins.
This is my method for:
making sure I REALLY want it
making sure I don't overeat on it
making sure I don't feel deprived
I'm here for you.

Chelle, YOU INSPIRE ME! I have told myself that I absolutely won't get another fill, unless I am practicing all the band rules. I think we get frustrated and want to run out and get more saline, which leads to more problems.
I encourage anyone who wonders how their fill level is, to eat 3-4 oz. of solid protein and 1/2 cup of veggies. Can you get it down easily? Do you have to chew it less than you used to? Does it keep you satisfied (not head hunger) for 3-4 hours? All things to consider before getting another fill.
I'm in with you!
