My belly hurts!
Not sure what is going on. My entire mid section from side to side, under my breasts to the belly button line aches. I feel like I've done a million sits ups or remembering what it felt like to be pregnant and having the baby pushing from inside out!
My ribs ache in that area...just seems to be a very uncomfortable feeling. I woke with it this morning, ate some bacon and cheese sticks for breakfast, headed out to my daughters b-ball game and while I stood there the pain went away. I came home, tried to eat some oatmeal and it wouldn't go down and the achey tummy started again!
I don't feel pain in my esophagus or chest when I eat, I highly doubt it's band related but I've always wondered where the band is? Is it under your breastbone or further down? I should ask my surgeon.
I've had these achey feelings ever since being banded and my surgeon wasn't concerned as he chalked it up to gas pains. I'm not so sure. I've asked about gall bladder on here before, but can these be subtle signs of it? Could it give me these achey pains and then one day I'll have a full blown attack?
I know...I need to call my doctor....I'm not sure if I should see my surgeon or my PCP. I hesitate going to the PCP.
Thanks for letting me vent....praying the aches go away!
Karen,
Do you think you might have a touch of the flu or a virus? I'm a little worried because I remember (maybe last weekend) you had a severe pain on the right side? I think you were thinking it may be gallbladder? If you're still struggling, you really need to get checked out. Why is it this stuff always happens on weekends or when it's snowing?
It doesn't sound like this pain is band related.....but who knows!
Take care and feel better.....don't let it go unchecked for too long!

I don't know? I feel fine otherwise. No diarrhea or vomiting and overall feel fine. Yes, it was last weekend I woke with the sharp pains and usually when I get the aches like this it goes away, but it's not this time. I always feel weird going to the doctor with stuff like this, I always figure it'll go away. My mother was getting on my case and said maybe my appendix is acting up. I went on the web and it can be just about anything but they say the gallbladder will be serious pain and not something that creeps up gradually. But then again, you never know!
I'll keep you posted.
It sounds similar to gallbladder trouble. I had several smalls attacks and I thought I had just overdone it. Like one time we went bowling and I thought maybe I pulled some muscles bowling. I used to put a heating pad on my chest and sometimes my back too. I even went to the hospital with one episode and they told me I had chest wall inflammation and sent me home. I was actually having a test done to look for something else and they found out I was full of gall stones. I ended up having it removed and I have never had that pain again. I would get it checked out soon because if it is gallbladder, it will only get worse. Let us know what you find out.
