Went to doctor day before scope

I got real concern when I was heaving and weaving from my 4 oz of water and blood pressure pill this morning. I thought if I was completely unfilled, the EGD would be more comfortable since I seemed almost completely obstructed. My doctor made an effort to pull back 1/4 cc, but got less than that out. He thinks I had less than 1/4 cc in there. This is pretty much a death nail to the old lap band. I'm scheduled for a possible removal Wednesday unless Tuesday's scope can pin this problem on something other than the band. We are thinking a few things including a bowel obstruction or a band erosion. I'm sad because I enjoyed the fight -- this battle that we are all in. I also liked making my beloved SupaDoc Karl LeBlanc proud. I will not mourn the band and fear of regaining isn't a concern of mine. Yes, I might regain, but it's just no where near the top of my priorities right now. Another surgery tool is an option, but it won't happen this week. Hey, I sent you a IM. Well, I dun have me two ole fashion temper tandrems. today One at work. It's Black History Month you know. And one at home when my mom quoted one of my brothers. That one was the kind where you you break every rule by raising yo' voice to yo' mama. But none of that matters right now. Frances...I am so sad to hear that you are having so many problems... Oh Frances, I hope that removal of the band gives you some relief. Or better yet - some great news from the scope. However with your history of the last few years, you probably need a break from the band. I'm so sorry, as you are my inspiration and were from the beginning. "Be like Frances" - that's my motto. How is your DH doing? Did he recover fully from his fall? And the supergirl? How is she?

Well, Sweetness, there are two things, I'm praying for, and those are for you to be free of pain, and to have some peace of mind for a change! You'll know down the road, if you want to take another WLS road, but FIRST, I'm praying for a good report from the scope, but at this point, that at best is being optimistic. You make sure you let us know the results, honey!

Certainly hope and wish tomorrow will bring you some relief. You are such a loving, positive person. Please rest and heal. Take Care Diane
