The basic flaw with OH's R&R board

I have seen Rants & Rave boards that worked, but they all were bandsters. Why OH in its usual infinite wisdom combines surgery types for a R&R board I will never know. Now the Ranting is on surgery type...and who needs that? At least the bandsters are holding their own. I dont post there because I will say what I am thinking and no one wants that....lol.

It's a ridiculous idea to lump them all together. The R&R will only EVER be about "my surgery is better than yours". Even if the topic starts out differently, it will derail into that. Even more ridiculous is moving the snarky threads over there. They've made asses of themselves on their own forums...they should leave them there. I am all for a lively debate, but what is the point of arguing with people over their choice of surgery?

I have never been on the R&R board here - I am going to attempt to find it and read... maybe later.

OH just doesn't get it about surgery type. I went there once or twice, and have backed off. And you can say what you want to HERE, Lenora, we love you.

I could add an R&R Forum for Bandsters on the Bandsterville Board if there is interest in it?? Please give me some feedback. Thanks, Ron

An R&R forum is good for personalities that dont mind a lively debate without attacking the person. The subjects for debate could be anything...religion and politics are commonly discussed. The moderation on that kind of board has to be a little bit broader than say an on topic board because its known going in that debate is possible and even welcomed. OH's R&R board just degenerates into attacking what kind of surgery a person has had...so I am not sure what the point is of having that kind of forum here.

I completely agree with you. If I added such a forum to the Bandsterville Board, it would be for Bandsters only, so other surgeries would not even be an issue. Given the folks who are on there now, I have no doubts everything would be civil and respectful, and as moderator, I would make sure it stayed that way.

Yes. I thought it was a great thread and most took it just in the spirit it was intended. But it did sadly prove this point.
