I wanted you to know that whatever happens we are here for you. I am sorry you have to make this decision, but at the same time for you to get 100% out of your band would be wonderful. I hear people get the hernia repaired and band surgery at the same time and its very common. Just wanted you to know I was thinking of you.

Me too Phyllis. I just saw your post on the ML. I think that this might be why you have had a tricky time with restriction. And if you can get a new band out of it, it might not be such a bad thing. Not that anyone wants a revision, but this sounds do-able. Take care sweetie...

Ditto that for me, too! I hope you get the result that you're looking for (and, ok, maybe the gelato, too!) It sounds like you earned it! Hang in there.....remember, if it doesn't kill us, it makes us stronger, and I think you're gonna do just great - whatever comes your way!

I was just having some pain and lack of proper restrciton. Turns out I have a hiatal hernia that is preventing me from getting good restrcition and pulling on my band. I am thinking I am going to get it fixed and have my band repositioned or maybe replaced with one of the newer ones. I am fine except tired and cranky because I am trying to give up coffee. Thanks Kate.

Phyllis, as I said, I'm sure you'll be fine, and we're ALL here for you! Keep us posted, now. It for sure, may explain the restriction problems, and the slower loss. "The easy way out," I sure wish more people knew, just how EASY, it is! Chin up, chest out, deep breath, and as Frances, would say, ONWARD!~
