ANyone with crowns on teeth?
What happens if we accidentally swallow a crown????? Just occurred to me today.
I Know it is unlikely but it does happen sometimes and there is no way it would go down for me with my present level of restriction. I thought about it because I am in the process of having one fitted and have a temporary one at the moment. It is obviously less stable then a permanent one but equally hard and won't crumble!

It would probably pass through....they aren't as large as one might think. I have a really wonderful and funny story along those lines. Last year I was going through some dental work and I accidentally swallowed a bit of the impression material. I asked the dentist if it was a large piece and he said not to worry because it was small. I explained that it could cause a problem if it was large because of the band, etc...then he looked me straight in the eye as said...."Did you used to have a weight problem?" ...........gotta love that man!!!
Hey....I need that Dentists name!!! I was at the dentist last week and he said he'd never seen anyone as small as me....unfortunately, he was talking about the roof of my mouth! As far as the crowns...they wouldn't appear to be a problem....unless you swallowed a post!! My sister did that years ago when she was young and she had to go right to the hospital for XRays. No band but they were worrying about other damage. No problem though!
