Time to come home now...

I leave Ireland tomorrow morning early (middle of the night for most of you) and I am so sad. I love this country. It's so green, and laid back and the people are wonderful. I spent most of today in a castle which was simply amazing. Since it is offseason, I had the beautiful and sweet Anya as my personal tour guide. Now remember they don't have lifts (elevators) in centuries old castle, so I walked many spiral stone stairs. And heck - I did it! No way could I have done that before banding!!! I bought some woolens (hand knit sweaters), and over here I wear a S to M. Woohoo! I like that!! What an wonderful experience to simply wander around another country as I have done today. I am so relaxed and then had a marvelous dinner tonight. While here I tried their fish-n-chips, lamb stew, and also Indian-Thai food. All new to me and all very good. Word of warning - stay away from the NEW OH Rants and Raves forum (idea copied from LapBandTalk, where it works nicely). It has been "claimed" by DS'ers. HAHAHAHA - they can have it - we have the Island! Most people over here are very supportive of Hillary, as they believe she will help take America to a better place. They see GWB as the person who has ruined much of the best of America. Hope all of you are doing well. Back in the States soon!

I am so happy that you have had such a great time in Ireland! I hope you have pictures to show us when you get home. Now that you mentioned the Rants and Raves forum, I am going to have to check it out. If it's all DS people they can keep it. If they claimed it for themselves lets ask OH again for our own LapBand graduates forum. I still think they owe us one that we don't have to borrow because it wan't being used. Have a safe and peaceful trip home!

You sure are right about the new forum! The DS crowd have sure claimed it for themselves. I don't think that's what OH had in mind. I want one that says LapBand Graduates... We are not step-children...

I feel sorry for them, actually. All that meanness is poison inside a person. It might seem like fun for a while, but I promise it is not healthy on a long term basis. OH has promised that I will be able to create a private forum here soon...

Glad you are having a wonderful trip . I don't think " GWB has ruined much of the best of America" our spirit can't be broken..... but I am for Hillary ! I bought some Irish woolens off of QVC one year , they have it every year and they are really nice I know you will enjoy them . Rant & Rave.... curious me has got to go look .... ~ Cindy

I love Ireland too. I think it is the most enchanting and beautiful place I have ever been. I will go back.

It's great to be away but there's nothing like the feeling of touching down after a long trip. I always love to come home! Have a safe trip....glad you enjoyed Ireland! Next time I go, I'll have to get out of Dublin and see the countryside. My parents both lived there at different times and loved going back!
