Just A Thought!

As most of you know, I build websites. I checked and there are some free Message Board Community options available out there that I could easily add to my personal website. This would be a private messageboard! I believe this would enable us to have a forum by invitation only, and have control over any drama and attacking. I would have no problem putting something like this together if I thought there was enough support for it. Please give me your feedback and thoughts! Blessings, Ron

Thanks Sharon! We need to remember that the Island is only for us veterans, and there are a lot of newbies and soon to become vets that are fed up with all the garbage on the main board. Where do they go?? This gives folks an alternative of a self-run board which control over drams and attacks. Blessings, Ron

Ron, that's probably a good idea, but I don't think I can fit one more group into my life. It's already taking way too much of my time. I Moderate on several Yahoo groups, and have a lot to do on the Kuri Board. I told myself this vets board was the last thing I was adding. If anyone is interested in the Yahoo groups, this DS crap would never be allowed. I can see them trying to get past Jessie Ahroni! It just wouldn't happen. We also don't allow non band patients to stay on the groups. I mean, what's the point?

I also feel this would spread us way too "thin".... LOL pardon the pun~~~ I feel comfortable right here on our Island I know it is not moderated ,but we have all been positive here and it it working for us , at least for the time being ... There is Lapband talk.. the OH Lapband forum ... Bandbuds ...which I believe was started and is moderated by Sandy , probably over a year and a half ago ... I can understand if malicious members begin coming in and starting a ruckus over and over again we have no real protection except of course to fight back which is not what we really need or want to do .. I always defend, it is the Italian in me) there may be a need for a private invite forum but,until then I am staying right here ..besides,I already have my hammock tied beween the best 2 palm trees on the island and I am way too busy sipping Tahitian Wonders and day dreaming ,watching the gentle waves .. . I hope you stay here with us Ron...

I will keep posting on the Island too, but bases on all the feedback I received, there was a great need and much support for this new board. It is not meant to replace any other board, just offer another alternative.
