I jumped over to the main board and read your post. I've never engaged in the DS 'stuff' but I applaud your attempt to calm things down. More than that, I give you a ton of credit for responding to the crap that was tossed back. Holy Cow....I don't miss that garbage at all. I don't know, nor do I want to know, who Scottie is....but you gave it your best shot. More than I would have, without a doubt. I stay out of the fights because my responses wouldn't be as nice. I need to ignore them 'cause once I jump in, I'd probably be banned. Anyway....I'm glad to know you can come back to the Island to kick back..... - Ann

Ann I learned my lesson. Thank you for your kind words. I got chewed up on both sides Band and DS as many really dont want to resolve it. I actually got attacked by some people I considered friends. But sa la vie. I will check in with you guys on the Island now and again. I have to get into my class homework and I will take a much needed break from the boards.

Hey. I'm glad that you're into your school work for you, but I hope you're not going to let those comments drive you away from here. I totally respect your need to focus on what's important....but know that we value your opinion and totally support you here. L ~ I have been lucky enough to meet you in person and stay with you for nearly a week. I know that in all sincerity you were trying to make a meaningful attempt to resolve an issue between the two groups. Unfortunately, it was bigger than you. After reading some of the hateful responses I thought to myself... wait a minute, this is a message board - when are people going to get that? You are a real person, with feelings too and I am sorry that many thought you were trying to stir things up. Please don't abandon the island - just stay away from the mainland. Big props to you for trying to make things right. I don't think I could have done what you did for may reasons. One, I hate confrontations - even on a message board. Two, controversy make me feel sick to my stomach - I must have bad nerves or something. (((HUGS)))
