OT: Absolutely furious

I am so mad right now. I got a call from my sister *****ceived a call from my brother...seems that when I was working on my taxes at my mom's I left a portion of my W-2 on the computer. She is telling everyone "that I made almost $50K last year and never have any money. She just doesn't understand it." If she was not my mother, I swear. My brother said "What a loser. She should be able to pay cash for a house right now." WTF!!! I told my sister "let me remind you I paid out over $10K in daycare alone and it was $50K it was $42K." Then I said not to mention it's really none of any of your business! I guess I'm supposed to be rich as a single parent with no support for my child making $42K. Deep breaths Tonya, Deep breaths!

I'm sorry that they are being so mean to you! First of all - they shouldn't be minding your business unless they were helping you. When you pay for rent, food and clothing etc. you realize just how much it adds up to. Our pensions "sound" like a lot of money and we are really just scraping by. I hope that tomorrow is a better day. I think you are doing a great job without asking for anyone's help!

Thank you Marcia! You always make me feel better. I think in today's world most of the people are just getting by and trying to save a little. In no way is the majority of Americans rich.

People who have no money or cant manage their money just dont get the concept. They think your money grew on a tree and they would like you to plant that tree in their yard or they would like to pick off your tree. I would think your mother would be happy that her daughter is providing the way she is for her grandson. And doing a fine job of it alone. I hope you move out of Dallas...(whether or not its to Florida) I have family with similiar attitudes....and I just dont talk about money or lend it anymore regardless of the sob story. (I know you didnt do either) just telling you I get where you are coming from.

Thanks Vicki, I'm glad to know that I shouldn't be driving a Lexus, living in my paid in cash house and helping out the entire family. I just couldn't figure out how that was possible! LOL

Tonya, I totally understand. I have worked so hard all my life, and my kids are grown so now I am enjoying life a bit more. One Christmas a young nephew kept calling me a name that sounded like filthy b**ch, when he was really saying filthy rich. He told me that all my sisters call me that. How moronic - I work my a$$ off and have since I was a teen. If I were so well off, I would retire. That hurt.

Oh that's horrible. Why is it the one set of people that should always support you are the one's that stab you in the back the most?
