Missing everyone...so glad to be home..

well I just got in from a 8 hr drive...I left last friday...(jan 18th) for my daughters ...(Sonda) she had her baby shower and grammy needed to be there... I took all (well most of it anyway) my sewing stuff...embroidry machine...serger..lots of threads, scizzors, pins...you get the idea... I had told her that we would make all her "baby room stuff" ... it looks to cute...very delicate...so fitting for this little "princess" that will be spoiled before she gets here... so I made Quilt, pillow, dust ruffle, bumpers, covered a rocker chair...(and had to stain it to "match" the rest of the furniture...) this little girl has more furniture than I have...and after the baby shower yesterday...she is going to need it...and it will all be Full...there are such cute things out there right now... So we got the room ready of Elliott Grace, (she will be a "princess" for sure) Due...mid Feb....(but she always goes early...I just hope I manage to get back there in time... got home ... now I will be doing the same thing HERE...Wendy (DIL) is due this Friday...(C-section) I will be finishing up stuff for Emma Grace...this week...Grammy needs to be able to spend time and love on BOTH her new babies... Then Back to Knoxville...and time for Sonda's little one to be here... So it is time for a hot and MY bed It's so good to be back...missed everyone...hope everyone is well..

You are such a good Grandma! My Mom made all of the things for Heather's room when she was born. Back then, I wanted everything in Strawberry Shortcake so my Mom had to buy flat sheets to make everything. Nothing can be better than things that her Grandmother made for her... Enjoy the little darling and spoil her rotten!

Hey Marcia I know that this is something that I CAN do to help my new Grandbaby.... she is going to be such a cutie...they had the 4-d ultasound done, it is set to music and this child is going to be beautiful...(her mommy is adorable...so why not??) Sonda is actually due around the 20th of Feb...but never carries till the due date...Her oldest son's birthday is Feb. 14th (he will be 10)...and he is adamate that she NOT share his birthday...he is so excited about a baby sister...but that is one area that I can't get him to move on...So be are just hoping for another day...but not to soon...Wendy and Robert's baby (Emma Grace) will be here Feb. 1st (C-section) and I NEED to help here before heading back to Knoxville...and I know if I wait till Sonda goes INTO labor...I'll never make it in time... (she was in labor for 2 hours...from 1st pain, water break and delivery...we were afraid that we wouldn't make it to the hospital in time...) I love sewing and this is something that I can know will be with her...it makes you feel good to know that a part of you is there with her every day...

thanks Beth... today I "tried" to find the house.... (I was SOOO tired...everytime I would take a break...I would fall asleep) and did some sewing for my other soon to be born grandbaby...It is a good thing Grammy loves to sew...it is something that is very relaxing to me...(I know that most people don't agree with sewing being relaxing...but for me it is...) looking forward to holding the new grandbabies...
