WANTED TO SAY, HERE I AM!!!
Hello to all my dear friend on this board. No, I did not fall off the earth. I got a black lab. Well, no one told me how much you needed to buy, and vet visits, and med's and the cost. Omg!! I never thought it would be that much. Poor jewel, got some water on her lung. She had
two x-rays, and some med's that we needed to buy. But now she had her well visit and I''m happy to say, "for someone that never had a dog befofe." I did some damm good work. We gave her a muli/vi everyday.
Good food, healthy snacks. She jogs 3 times a week with my hubbie. She plays doge ball with rick in the yard. She goes for a walk with sean at 3:30pm, and my walk would be 6:30pm, or 7:00pm. Depending on the weather at that time. So everyone is envolved. Well the well visit with the vet showed her "water on the lung " is gone, and she went from 50lbs, when I first got her, to 64lbs now. He said her lungs are good. And she gained the weight very good you can see in the tone of her body. The vet was very pleased. So I'm a pretty proub momie. I never had a dog in my life, but feel pretty good about makeing her health and weight come back. Now I have to get on myself, on what I have to do. I'm still bouncing back and fourth with 2-3-4 and lbs.
I walk jewel at night, but I want to get envolved with "agility classes for her and I. That will add to getting this body moving. So wish me luck with that. I aslo have to go back to "thi chi" I love it, and now it is time to go back. Also need to attenend support, that is also for me. It is only three times month, so I need to do that for me.
Well just checking in on why I was so busy with the pup, getting her all stright, and the holidays behind us. Hope all of you are doing well.

Bridget!! So glad to see you !! I have been wondering where you have been you have been. I have missed you .. it's good to know you have Jewel well on her way to being happy and healthy she sure is one lucky dog to have such a caring Mommy like you .. You know i am a true animal lover especially dogs~~~ You have done an excellent job. Now that she is nursed back to health... it is time for you. I have been in the same boat as you, losing and gainin the same 2 -3 lbs I have just now gone back to exercise and a stricter diet We will do this ..... No fun but it's better this way than carryng around all that weight and hot weather is coming.. so get ot your shorts and tube tops HaHa ... Uh.. soon as the ice burg melts!! . .. hope you post and join in more often ..
Well, I have missed all of you also. We are all enjoying "jewel".
It was fate. For me who never was in a shelter to decide to go after work, not tell anyone I was going. Having all the dogs barking at me,
than having this little jewel looking at me, not barking, just got up came over and licked my hand. Four days later she is in our home. Right
now none of us can remember what it was like without her. She just fit right in. Of course, I only buy "jewel collars for her" because she
is jewel, and a lady. I got two charms yesterday. One said
" if the tiara fits" the other says " her majesty".. My daughter thinks
I'm crazy, but I told her, it is her right to accesorize, she is a women.
Now, back to me. Yes, you are right. Summer is coming, so I need to make the walk with more power, and get back to thi chi..... I do find that
I need this board as well as my "walk in group" that meets three thurs.
A month. Thanks for all the well wishes for my jewel. I have a sister
in heaven who was always a dog lover, always had one since she was married. We never had one growing up. Too many kids in the house 13 all total. My sisters name is "ellen", I swear she had something to do with having jewel in my life. There is something about unconditional love, and almost a peace that has come over me. That is important
also for weight loss.
