Saggy underarms..No way out
Sadly I think that anyone who is morbidly obese and loses the weight is going to have some degree of skin issues. I think we notice it more in the arms because they are so visible and the way the skin hangs on them is more obvious.
I read an online article (not that I place much stock in it) where the guy said that if you have skin issues after a large weight loss it is because you still have too much body fat and that if you get down to the 'right' body fat percentage you won't have any skin issues. Yeah ... OK. Well, I seriously doubt that I'll ever get down to 10% body fat to test that theory. So I'm resigned to the fact that my arms will jiggle even when I lose weight.
Even though I still want to lose another 50 lbs or more, and I have saggy thighs, a$$, belly... etc, I don't have saggy arms! My forearms and hands look like they belong to a concentration camp victim... NO MEAT on them at all.. or fat either & my upper arms do not have the saggy thing either. I think it is genetic!
I think that depends on how, and where, you carried your excess weight. I really don't have saggy arms - I'll try to take a picture later and upload it so you can see the amount (pretty small) that I have. For me, the issue was the lower tummy (got the tummy tuck last April to fix it) and the inner thighs.
I tell folks I have the family eyes and the family thighs - I don't mind the eyes but I sure could do without the thighs!
One thing that may have made a bit of a difference for me is the yoga. I do a power yoga so there are a lot of planks, downward facing dogs, updogs, lots of poses that have you holding some, if not all, of your weight on your arms. It goes a long way toward toning. That said, toning alone will not fix the saggy skin - it just helps tighten the muscles that hold the skin on.
