I have a consult with a new doctor

Hi Amy! This is the second "new" doctor I'll have seen and about the 5th office that I've talked to about being a new patient (well the 5th that will accept "transfer" patients, there have been numerous others who don't take other surgeons' patients). It is the first office that hasn't had a requirement for a fluoro before doing the first fill. It just seemed a bit odd. Combined with the fact that the doc is pretty new at this (less than 2 years experience) and her totally confused tone of voice (she couldn't quite understand why I was asking about it) ... I guess it just made me wonder. But I decided to meet with the doctor myself and see what he says. He's only about 30 minutes from home. Which is better than the closest doc (Dr. Arrogant) who is 2 hours away or my wonderful doc who is 11+ hours away. It can't hurt to talk to him.

My surgeon does the fills himself too and only orders a fluro if there is evidence of a problem. I'll never forget my first fill. He did it with his eyes closed He got the syringe ready, then with his eyes close felt around, and whamo.. done ... in like seconds lol. I suppose he was 'seeing' his handiwork in his head. Hi, my doctor rarely uses fluoro to check bands. The only reason to check the band is if you are having problems with it such as a slip or possible erosion. I hope you get the answers you need. I sometimes get that way with food. I get sick of eating healthy,sometimes. I look at my Grandkids pictures and know why I do this and it keeps me going. Good luck. Mona

My doctor has no fluro machine, in his offices! If there is a problem, we go to the hospital! I hope you get it worked out, hon!
