Wow, maybe it is Cuban!~ I got it out of the food section of the newspaper, about 2 yrs ago.

It sounds good. But I plugged the ingredients into Fitday and came up with 930 calories per serving and 65 grams of fat. I'd have to make this a "special occasions" type of recipe. But it sounds so good I'm drooling!

Carole, I got the recipe out of the food section in the paper, and it stated, 625 calories per serving. That's still a lot, but that's why I only fix it for company! ha It's a good easy dinner, and something different!

It sounds mind-blowingly tasty. I may have to make that sometime. My husband will love me (and you if I tell him who gave m the recipe) forever.

I don't know if you can get it there but some places here sell mock chorizo with all the spices but turkey meat instead of the pork. I bet that would cut the calories...the chorizo is what makes it bad but it is good!

Thanks, honey, I've looked around here, and no such luck, to be honest, we don't even always have chorizo. Just in the last few years. I probably could fine it in a Spainish market, b ut they are all WAY out of this area. So...I'll keep my eyes on.

I beleive Mexican, or Spanish, or Cuban spicy sausage?! I'm sure someone will correct me, and clear it up. The kind I buy just says Chorizo, spicy sausage.
