Well, Cathleen, it has been said that I am weird. And I'm ok with that. I do not and did not have malaria. I seem to be the 1 in 600,000 who is allergic to hepatitis B inoculations. I was given the first round of 3 in anticipation of travel to India, and broke out in very serious hives, that would not go away for months. Then my blood levels went wacko and all indications were that I had an auto immune disease and I was sent for more blood tests and more blood tests. The only thing that stopped the symptoms so that my body could recover was the malaria meds. So while I only lost about 25 lbs last year - I am still very very happy about it! 2008- the year I hit goal and the year we elect a woman President!

Hey...you sure are an extremist....Malaria?......Geez. Thank God you contracted something with a cure (J/K!). Glad to hear that you're getting good marks from your Dr's. Keep on top of the 'probably arthritis' thing. I think you can block the progession of arthritis with some of the newer meds......but you only have one heart.....and yours is a big one that we want to hold on to for a long time!! - Ann
